Recapturing Bab Al-Mandab from Houthis boosts Yemeni government's global standing

Political analyst Abdul Sattar Al-Shumairi said that regaining control of Bab Al-Mandab from Houthi militias enhances global confidence in Yemen’s legitimate government as part of Operation 'Yemen Dawn'.

Speaking to Al-Hadath TV, Al-Shumairi added that the Yemeni army is fighting on behalf of the entire world, noting that Operation Yemen Dawn has revived national morale and renewed hope in Sana’a, marking the beginning of the final phase of the liberation campaign.

He explained that the operation has garnered widespread support, culminating in the advance to Bab Al-Mandab as part of a broad effort to liberate the coastal strip through Al-Hodeidah. He described the operation as a clear, well-defined success that could pave the way for further achievements.

Al-Shumairi added that this success opens the door for more government forces to move toward the coast as part of a new and different phase. He pointed out that the Giants Brigades, the National Shield forces, and air support managed to seize the strait within hours.
