Key Takeaways
AIYemeni Prime Minister Shaya Mohsen Al-Zindani said on Saturday that Operation 'Fajr Al-Yemen' is progressing steadily toward achieving its national objectives. He noted continued advances on the ground by the Southern Giants Brigades and the National Shield Forces, supported by the Saudi-led Coalition to Restore Legitimacy, to secure control over Bab Al-Mandab and Dhubab and to safeguard the Kahboub mountains after liberating them from the Iran-backed Houthi militia.
In a post on his account on the X platform, Al-Zindani said these victories reflect the Yemeni people's determination to end the coup and restore state institutions. He stressed that the sacrifices of the armed forces and the resilience and steadfastness of the Yemeni people are the foundation for the battle to reclaim the state and establish security and stability across the country.
The prime minister added that the Houthis’ continued targeting of civilians and civilian sites—most recently Aden International Airport—as well as ongoing attacks and violations in Taiz province, "reveal a strategy based on violence, terrorism, and harming the country’s resources," in an attempt to break the will of the Yemeni people and deter them from pursuing their struggle for freedom, dignity, and the establishment of a state governed by law and order.
Al-Zindani pointed out that the significant sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and the heroism shown by the popular resistance in Taiz and other provinces embody the Yemeni people's commitment to reclaiming their state, protecting their land, and preserving national sovereignty. He affirmed that attempts to impose the Iran-linked Houthi project will not undermine the people's determination to restore their national institutions.
The Yemeni prime minister expressed his appreciation for the positions of the brotherly countries in the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy, led by Saudi Arabia, and their support for Yemen in the battle to restore the state and protect its security and stability.
