Israeli airstrikes kill Palestinians, destroy Gaza medicine warehouses

Israeli forces killed two Palestinians in Gaza today and destroyed two warehouses used for storing medicine near a hospital in separate airstrikes, amid uncertainty over whether Israel has agreed to a deal reached with Hamas regarding the group's disarmament.

According to Reuters, health officials in Gaza said two Palestinians were killed in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City in the central part of the Strip as a result of an Israeli airstrike.

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced earlier today that an Israeli airstrike destroyed two warehouses used to store medicine for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, southern Gaza.

Reuters footage from the site of the strike in Deir al-Balah showed a crater several meters wide at the explosion site, with debris scattered across the area, including what appeared to be medical supplies, near a crowded camp.

Israel has continued to carry out airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since agreeing to a US-brokered ceasefire last October, resulting in the deaths of around 1,222 Palestinians over the past nine months, including women and children.

The Peace Council, established by former US President Donald Trump to implement his plan to end the Gaza war, revealed last Thursday a roadmap outlining the final steps for the initiative. The document states that Israel will halt its military operations as part of its commitment to Trump's 20-point plan, which it signed last year.
