Pakistan foreign minister urges implementation of Islamabad MoU for regional stability

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has stressed that sincere and serious implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, signed between the United States and Iran, is the only way forward to achieve peace and stability in the region.

Dar made the remarks during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Kyrgyzstan.

The Pakistani foreign minister emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the primary options for promoting peace, calling on both Tehran and Washington to adhere to the terms of the memorandum.

Dar added that Pakistan supports all efforts aimed at easing tensions and achieving regional stability through peaceful means.
