Trump vows to block Iran from nuclear weapons on 9/11 anniversary

US President Donald Trump on Friday reaffirmed that the United States will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon, maintaining his firm position on Tehran during a speech marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Trump described Iran as "the world's leading sponsor of terrorism," stressing that the United States "will never allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon."

He linked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks to the current confrontation, stating that the US "will never forget what happened on September 11 and continues to fight today in honor of that memory." He added that the United States "remains committed to combating terrorism to this day."

Trump said that the US campaign against Iran is "a war on terrorism," emphasizing that Washington has no choice but to continue confronting terrorism until security, safety, and stability prevail.

Trump made these remarks during a ceremony at the Pentagon commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, where he attended a memorial for the nearly 3,000 victims.
