Bahri tanker Umzan involved in Red Sea security incident

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has confirmed that its tanker 'Umzan' (IMO: 9693745), part of its fleet, was involved in a security incident in the Red Sea on August 24, 2026.

In a statement, Bahri said all crew members are safe and accounted for, with no injuries reported.

The company added that it is maintaining continuous contact with the vessel and is closely coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders in the maritime sector, while closely monitoring the situation.

Bahri emphasized that the safety of its personnel, protection of the marine environment, and secure management of its vessels remain its top priorities, and that it continues to operate its fleet according to the highest standards of safety and reliability.
