Arab Parliament welcomes Dutch ban on Israeli settlement products

The Arab Parliament welcomed the Dutch government's decision to ban the import, purchase, and sale of products from Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, describing the move as a victory for international law and a significant step forward in confronting illegal settlement activity.

In a statement, Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi said the decision reflects growing international will to take practical measures to hold the occupation accountable. He called on all countries to prohibit settlement products, impose sanctions on settlements and companies supporting them, and suspend privileges and trade agreements with Israel until it complies with international law.

He stressed that the continued impunity of Israel has encouraged it to persist in its crimes against the Palestinian people, urging the international community to take decisive action to hold perpetrators accountable and enable the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
