Russian forces target Ukrainian cargo ship in Black Sea

Russia's Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that its armed forces targeted a dry cargo ship in the Black Sea that was carrying military equipment supplied to the Ukrainian armed forces by Western countries.

In a statement carried by Russia's Sputnik news agency, the ministry said: "Russian armed forces continue to target warships deployed to protect the interests of the Ukrainian armed forces."

Earlier today, the Russian defense ministry said its forces had also targeted transport and logistics infrastructure supporting Ukrainian military operations, as well as a drone production facility belonging to Kyiv's forces. The ministry added that Russian troops had made significant advances on all fronts of the special military operation.

According to the statement, the Russian defense ministry confirmed it is targeting infrastructure used by the Ukrainian armed forces to reduce the military and economic capabilities of Kyiv's forces. Russian forces are also deploying attack drones and other weaponry, the ministry said.
