US Senator Rubio: broad consensus Iran's regional actions are malign

US Senator Marco Rubio said there is broad consensus that Iran's activities in the region are malign.

He noted that all countries in the region face threats from Iran's proxies, according to Al Arabiya.

Rubio stressed the importance of close cooperation and coordination with Gulf Cooperation Council states, adding that the actions of the Houthis in Yemen pose a serious problem.

He also said that reaching an agreement with Iran will require sustained effort over time, emphasizing that the United States will continue to defend the straits and ensure they remain open.
