US military completes new round of strikes on Iran for twelfth consecutive night

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Thursday the completion of its latest round of military strikes against Iran, stating that operations concluded at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time on July 22, marking the twelfth consecutive night of such actions.

In a statement, CENTCOM said US forces targeted Iranian military sites, including naval assets, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance locations, and air defense assets. The strikes aim to degrade Iran's ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels.

CENTCOM added that US forces have targeted dozens of Iranian military sites on land this month, coinciding with the resumption of a maritime blockade on Iran. It noted that so far, nine commercial vessels have been redirected and one ship disabled to prevent vessels from entering or leaving Iranian ports.

CENTCOM confirmed that more than 50,000 US military personnel are deployed across the Middle East, maintaining a high level of vigilance, focus, combat readiness, and full preparedness.
