Netanyahu accuses Qatar of funding US universities, media to 'brainwash' youth

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Qatar of spending billions of dollars over decades to fund American universities and support media outlets, including Al Jazeera, with the aim of what he described as 'brainwashing youth in America and around the world,' during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly.

Netanyahu said, 'Several foreign countries have spent countless billions to spread lies about my country,' adding that Qatar was 'the first to do so,' referring to what he described as attempts to influence public opinion against Israel.

Netanyahu's remarks were part of a broader attack in his speech against what he called anti-Israel propaganda, accusing various parties and countries of shaping Western media and political discourse.
