Kuwaiti cabinet condemns Iranian attacks as dangerous escalation

Kuwait's cabinet has condemned and denounced the Iranian attacks that targeted several vital facilities in the country.

The cabinet stated that the continued Iranian assaults represent a dangerous escalation and reflect a hostile approach that cannot be justified or accepted.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs had earlier condemned the ongoing Iranian aggression against the country, which targeted a number of vital sites, including a government facility in the north, as well as civilian vehicles belonging to a private company on Bubiyan Island. The attacks, carried out by hostile drones, were described as a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter, the principles of good neighborliness, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.

The ministry stressed that the continuation of these flagrant attacks demonstrates a determination to pursue a hostile policy, undermining security and stability in the region and increasing tensions. It reaffirmed Kuwait's legitimate right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, interests, and resources, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
