Turkey to hold joint military exercises with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has announced that Turkey intends to conduct joint military exercises with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan as part of implementing the trilateral defense agreement signed by the three countries.

In an interview with Anadolu Agency, Fidan said the three nations are moving toward organizing joint military training, noting that this step is part of new cooperation mechanisms established under the defense pact.

The Turkish foreign minister explained that a center for the new mechanism's secretariat is set to be established in Saudi Arabia to enhance coordination among the three countries.

He added that the political-military committee will hold meetings attended by the foreign and defense ministers, as well as the chiefs of staff of the armed forces from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.
