Yemeni National Defense Council hails Saudi role in building responsible international partnerships

Yemen’s National Defense Council has praised Saudi Arabia’s role in building partnerships that contribute to enhancing regional security.

The council welcomed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, describing it as a strategic step to bolster collective security and regional stability, and commended Saudi Arabia’s leadership in fostering responsible international partnerships.

The council also emphasized the need to maintain high readiness and vigilance, and to strengthen coordination among military, security, and intelligence units. It called on all political forces and the media to rally behind state institutions and unify national discourse.

The council adopted decisions to raise military, security, and civil defense readiness, enhance coordination among state institutions, protect civilians and vital facilities, and ensure immediate and firm responses to attacks. It also resolved to remain in continuous session to respond swiftly to developments.
