Israeli forces continue raids and incursions in Syria’s Quneitra countryside

Israeli forces renewed their operations in southern Syria on Tuesday, carrying out incursions into several areas of the Quneitra countryside.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, an Israeli patrol consisting of three military vehicles entered west of the town of Al-Rafid in southern Quneitra, where soldiers interrogated and assaulted local shepherds.

Earlier in the day, another Israeli patrol with five military vehicles raided the village of Zubeida in central Quneitra, arrested a young man in the village of Al-Hurriya in the northern part of the province, and advanced towards Khan Arnabah near the industrial zone, searching several passersby.

Ongoing violations of the disengagement agreement

Israeli forces continue to violate the 1974 disengagement agreement by conducting repeated incursions and raids in southern Syria.

Meanwhile, Syria has reiterated its calls for the international community to take action to halt these operations and to compel Israel to fully withdraw from Syrian territory.
