Yemeni army retakes mountain range in southern Taiz

Yemen’s army has announced the liberation of a mountain range in Hayfan district, south of Taiz province in the country’s southwest, following battles with Houthi militants.

According to a statement from the Taiz military command, armed forces backed by popular resistance fighters retook the Al-Manzara, Al-Asharif, and Dhiban mountains in Hayfan district, south of the province, as reported by Al Arabiya.

Fierce clashes are ongoing between the armed forces, supported by popular resistance, and Houthi militants in Qudus area of Al-Mawasit district, south of Taiz. The statement confirmed that airstrikes targeted Houthi vehicles and gatherings in Qudus, Al-Mawasit district.
