Writing on X, Gargash added that the recent terrorist incident is a new warning that the confrontation is not over.

He stressed the importance of the UAE's early and firm stance, stating there is zero tolerance for extremism and no leniency toward its rhetoric, as security begins with confronting hate and cutting off sources of radicalization.

UAE Attorney General Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi earlier announced that investigations into Flydubai flight FZ1073 revealed the co-pilot had attempted to carry out a terrorist act.

He explained that the co-pilot began executing his plan during the flight, attacking the captain inside the cockpit with a crash axe and attempting to seize control of the aircraft's controls.
