EU warns Houthi attacks threaten Yemen peace efforts

The European Union expressed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia after Houthi militias targeted civilian and economic facilities in the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran.

The EU condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militias, describing them as a dangerous escalation that threatens to undermine ongoing efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict in Yemen, according to Al-Sharq.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had earlier condemned the targeting of civilian and economic sites in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran by Houthi militias. The ministry also voiced the Kingdom's condemnation of the continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea by the Houthis, warning that such actions threaten the freedom of international maritime navigation.
