Iraqi Civil Defense extinguishes minor fire at Baiji oil refinery north of Baghdad

Iraqi Civil Defense teams on Monday extinguished a fire that broke out at a refinery in the Baiji oil complex, located about 180 kilometers north of Baghdad, according to the official Iraqi News Agency.

The agency reported that the fire started inside a hydrogen compressor at the Salahuddin refinery and was dealt with swiftly.

Sources confirmed the blaze was minor and fully contained, with no injuries or casualties reported.
