Egyptian, UK foreign ministers discuss strengthening bilateral ties

UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband held a phone call today with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various fields, particularly in economic, trade, and investment sectors.

The two ministers also reviewed several regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the latest developments in Gaza, as well as maritime security and freedom of navigation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation between their countries, and expressed support for efforts to achieve security, stability, and the resolution of crises through political and diplomatic means.
