Yemeni armed forces intensify strikes against Houthis in Marib

Yemeni military fronts in Marib witnessed new operations against the Houthis on Saturday, including strikes on a vehicle loaded with weapons in the Al-Kasara front northwest of the province, as well as attacks on gatherings and arms depots in Al-Juba district in southern Marib, according to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath correspondent.

The latest strikes come as clashes continue on the southern, western, and northern fronts of the province, amid ongoing firefights and artillery exchanges, with increased use of drones targeting military positions and movements.

Government forces have intensified their operations in Marib in recent days. On September 20, artillery and drones targeted Houthi positions, gatherings, and vehicles on the southern fronts, alongside shelling of vehicles on the western front.

Earlier, on September 19, Yemeni forces engaged in battles with the Houthis in the Al-Mashjah front west of Marib, while simultaneously targeting reinforcements and gatherings at the Um Rish camp and the former 26th Brigade in Al-Juba district, in addition to Mala'a pass in Harib, south of the province.

The ongoing operations in Marib coincide with escalating confrontations across Yemen since early September, following Houthi military movements on the western coast and areas near Bab Al-Mandab, while government forces have stepped up operations in Marib, Al-Jawf, and Taiz.
