Sunni cleric Molavi Yousef Karkij shot dead by unknown assailants in Zahedan

Iranian state television has reported that Molavi Yousef Karkij, a prominent Sunni cleric, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan province.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iranians abroad are working with the country's enemies to incite unrest inside Iran.

He added that the United States is seeking to fuel discord and cause social collapse in Iran through the problems and restrictions it has imposed.
