Multiple explosions reported on Iran’s Kharg Island: Mehr agency

Iran’s Mehr news agency reported that several explosions were heard on Kharg Island.

The incident comes after US Central Command announced that it would continue to tighten the maritime blockade imposed on Iran, and declared a restricted maritime zone near the Strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command also showcased an E/A-18G aircraft taking off from the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) during night flight operations, as the carrier supports the enforcement of the American blockade on Iran in the Arabian Sea.
