Russian forces capture two more towns in Donetsk region

Russia's Ministry of Defense announced that its forces have captured the towns of Vasilyutinskoye and Toretskoye, located in the Donetsk People's Republic, following intensive operations.

In a statement carried by the Russian news agency Sputnik, the ministry said: "As a result of decisive offensive actions, the 'Center' group of forces liberated the town of Toretskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic, while the 'South' group took control of Vasilyutinskoye in the same region."

The ministry added that the 'Center' group targeted personnel and equipment belonging to two Ukrainian Armed Forces mechanized brigades, a marine brigade, and two National Guard brigades in Grozovskoye, Dobropillya, Novogrioryevka, and Svyatogorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as Ivanovka in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The statement also noted that the 'South' group repelled units from three mechanized brigades, an airborne brigade, a mountain assault brigade, and a marine infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the towns of Belokozminovka, Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk, Nikonorovka, and Slavyansk in the Donetsk People's Republic.

The Ministry of Defense continued: The 'North' group liberated important positions and lines, and inflicted losses on two mechanized brigades, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and a territorial defense brigade near the towns of Bozovo, Vasilievka, Slatino, Sosnovy Bor, and Khrebuni in Kharkiv region.

Russian aircraft, attack drones, and artillery targeted fuel, energy, and transport infrastructure belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as a military airfield and temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries.
