Iran only pretending to stand firm, lacks military capacity to face US: analyst

Speaking in an interview with Al Arabiya FM, Al-Atoum added that Iran is merely projecting resilience against the United States after a significant portion of its air defense, missile, and drone capabilities were destroyed.
He continued that intelligence reports indicate Iran now retains only 20% of its military capabilities, and is no longer able to respond to US warships stationed 250 kilometers off the Iranian coast, nor to the occupying state from which most of the bombers targeting Iran are launched.
Al-Atoum noted that the current strategy centers on the pressure facing the Iranian state and the threat of targeting bridges and power stations, shifting from military to economic infrastructure as potential targets.
Recently, Iran's Supreme National Security Council threatened to target regional oil fields if the United States launched a major strike against Iran, while the US military remains capable of carrying out attacks inside Iran without any response from Tehran.
