US treasury chief vows tougher enforcement of Iran sanctions

US Treasury Secretary Scott Pisent stated there will be no further leniency regarding the sanctions imposed by his country on Iran.

This announcement followed the US Treasury Department's decision to sanction 36 entities and individuals for supporting Iran's aviation sector, according to Al-Sharq.

Pisent also reiterated his warning that any country dealing with Iran risks isolation from the global financial system, as part of ongoing US measures against Tehran.
