Strikes on Iran paused for third day as Tehran denies seeking US talks

Strikes targeting Iran have been paused for a third consecutive day, as Tehran announced it has not requested to resume talks with the United States, despite receiving American messages through intermediaries.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that Iran has not asked to restart negotiations with Washington, emphasizing that this "is not our approach."

Baghaei added that intermediaries are delivering messages from the US to Tehran, but his country is not currently engaged in any direct discussions with the American side.

These remarks come amid heightened regional anticipation following the recent halt in military operations and ongoing indirect communication between Tehran and Washington via mediators.
