Palestinian Foreign Ministry urges global action over Israeli actions in West Bank

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the escalation by Israeli forces in the village of Al-Mughayyir, north of Ramallah in the West Bank, and the imposition of a tight blockade on the village for nearly 20 days. The ministry also denounced the prevention of ambulances from entering, alongside what it described as indiscriminate targeting of Palestinians, as part of an ongoing escalation aimed at undermining the Palestinian presence in the village.

In an official statement carried by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the ministry said the rise in settler violence and Israeli military actions in the West Bank reflects a policy designed to create a reality of killing, terror, and forced displacement.

The ministry noted that the continued fueling of extremism, racism, and terrorism—alongside arming, protecting, and providing political and legal cover for settlers—sets a dangerous escalation that could spiral beyond control, making urgent international intervention essential to halt this trajectory.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to take concrete and deterrent steps proportionate to the gravity of ongoing crimes in the West Bank, to urgently provide international protection for the Palestinian people, to activate international legal jurisdiction to prosecute those responsible and ensure they are not immune from punishment, and to work towards ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine and enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate national rights, foremost among them the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state along the June 4, 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.
