Trump claims US destroyed Iran's nuclear capability, controls Hormuz Strait

US President Donald Trump said Iran was just two weeks away from acquiring a nuclear weapon, adding, "So I destroyed it."

Trump asserted that US forces control the Strait of Hormuz, noting that American troops destroyed 28 boats and ships belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps yesterday.

Commenting on the Strait of Hormuz, Trump joked, "Should we rename it the 'Trump Strait' now that we control it?"

The US president stated that Iran "is not getting anything right now," adding, "If we had allowed Iran to have a nuclear weapon, they would have used it by now, because they are crazy."

Trump emphasized that the US is achieving "incredible results," stressing that Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon.
