Kushner and Witkoff reportedly bring new Ukraine peace proposal to Putin

US media have reported that American envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are carrying a new peace proposal on Ukraine to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This development follows a recent escalation between Russia and Ukraine, and growing European anger after a Russian drone rigged with explosives was discovered at a key German airport.

Former US President Donald Trump had previously announced he would send his envoys to Russia as part of efforts to contain the conflict and end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
