US secretary of state: Destroying Iran’s military forced it to negotiate

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States is dealing with Iran from a position of strength, not weakness.

He added that destroying Iran’s military capabilities has led Tehran to show readiness for a nuclear agreement, noting that as long as the current Iranian regime remains, it poses a real threat to the region.

Speaking to Fox News, Rubio said that former President Donald Trump’s dismantling of Iran’s military power completely changed the equation, leaving Iran without the conventional military shield it once relied on.

President Donald Trump previously stated that the United States is ready and equipped to act against Iran with overwhelming force not seen since World War II.

Trump added that the United States and Israel agreed to suspend attacks on Iran provided a swift agreement is reached, and that Israel has committed to this condition.
