Yemeni analyst: Houthi attacks in Taiz and Mokha aim to ease pressure on Iran

Yemeni writer Sami Al-Haroubi said that "the Houthi militia is carrying out attacks in Taiz and Mokha to ease pressure on the Iranian regime, which is facing severe economic blows."

Al-Haroubi added, in a phone interview with Al Arabiya FM, that "the Houthi militia wants to increase pressure to resume negotiations with the United States."

He continued that "the militia has resorted to using ballistic missiles and is attempting to seize mountain heights in Mokha to tighten its grip on the Bab Al-Mandab Strait."

He went on to say that "the legitimate Yemeni government has dried up smuggling routes in Bab Al-Mandab, halting the trafficking of drones, drugs, and weapons. As a result, the Houthi militia is now besieged in the mountains and is seeking to control vital areas."
