Yemen’s armed forces and security authorities have urged their personnel in Taiz districts under Houthi control not to respond to calls for registration, summons, or any attempts to lure them into recruitment and mobilization against their own citizens.

The two bodies also called on officers and soldiers to contact their commanders to learn about the procedures and centers for regularizing their status and to receive their full salaries and entitlements in accordance with approved regulations.

In a separate development, the Taiz Axis held the Houthi militia fully responsible for the safety of wounded Colonel Taha Aoun, a leader of the 35th Armored Brigade, after he was abducted from Khalifa Hospital in the city of Al-Turbah and taken to an unknown location.

The Axis demanded the immediate disclosure of his whereabouts, guarantees for his safety, provision of necessary medical care, and his release, stressing that his abduction from a medical facility constitutes a violation of humanitarian and legal norms protecting the wounded and sick.
