Israeli military approves international force for Gaza under strict conditions

Israeli media reported that the Israeli military has agreed to allow a multinational international force to enter the Gaza Strip, on the condition that reconstruction efforts do not begin at this time.

Army Radio clarified that the conditions also prohibit countries Israel considers hostile, such as Turkey and Qatar, from participating in the international force in Gaza.

A senior official in the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that Israel’s approval for the entry of a peace council and international forces into Gaza is outlined in the Trump plan.

The official added that the Israeli military insists on maintaining control over the yellow line area in Gaza unless Hamas and the enclave are disarmed, and that the cabinet has decided Israel alone will determine which countries are permitted to send forces to Gaza.
