Qatari emir, Syrian president hold phone talks on regional developments

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call on Tuesday from Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara.

During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed relations between their countries and ways to strengthen and expand cooperation across various fields.

They also discussed key regional and international developments, with a particular focus on the situation in the Middle East.

Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions, and prioritizing political solutions and dialogue to promote stability in the region.

They also stressed the need to resolve disputes through diplomatic means and to reach a comprehensive agreement that would ensure lasting peace for the peoples of the region.
