Pakistan says Mecca Agreement is a defense pact, no expansion planned

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the Mecca Agreement is a defense alliance and that there are no plans to expand it at this time.

Regarding Houthi attacks on the Kingdom, the ministry stated, "We will act in accordance with the agreement when the time comes."

In August, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan announced the signing of the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" during a summit hosted in Mecca at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
