Yemeni army seizes new positions in southern Taiz

A military source said Yemeni armed forces have taken control of new positions on the Haifan front in southern Taiz.

Field sources indicated that the Yemeni military has regained all areas in Hays district, following heavy clashes with Houthi militia in Al-Kadha, Taiz, according to Al Arabiya.

Earlier on Saturday, the Yemeni army announced the launch of a counteroffensive on the southern Al-Jarrahi front in Hodeidah province. The army’s naval forces also destroyed two Houthi boats that attempted to target Al-Fajrah and the port of Mokha.
