Iran no longer controls Strait of Hormuz, says analyst
Iran has lost its grip on the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iran affairs researcher Islam Al-Mansi, who spoke to Al Arabiya FM.

He continued, "Iran is seeking concessions from the United States as part of a temporary understanding, but Washington wants a comprehensive agreement that includes the Strait of Hormuz. At present, Iran can only threaten navigation in the strait."
Al-Mansi went on to say that "a comprehensive agreement on the nuclear program would require time and the involvement of experts and technicians. However, the urgent issue now is Iran's nuclear stockpile, which is being enriched above 60 percent, but Iran does not want to open that file."
