US CENTCOM chief calls visit to USS Lincoln 'inspiring'

US Central Command chief Admiral Brad Cooper said on Sunday that his recent visit to the USS Abraham Lincoln was 'inspiring,' praising the resilience of its crew following reports of mental health concerns and deteriorating conditions on board.

In a statement posted by US Central Command on X, Cooper noted that extended service at sea 'comes with unique and tough challenges,' but pointed out that the Lincoln has recorded the lowest number of mental health cases among the US Navy's eleven aircraft carriers.

Cooper commended the carrier's leadership for prioritizing mental health and strengthening crew resilience, emphasizing that what he witnessed during his visit was truly inspiring.
