Iran vows stronger retaliation after US strikes, Tasnim reports

Iran will respond to US attacks with a retaliation far stronger than the strikes carried out by the United States, the Tasnim news agency reported.

The agency added that American interests and bases in the region would be subject to immediate Iranian targeting.

According to Tasnim, the recent US attacks targeted a fish powder factory in Qeshm, a fishing pier, and a port authority tower in Sirik.

US Central Command said the latest strikes followed a recent attempt by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to attack commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. It added that US forces had begun targeting IRGC positions inside Iran, with explosions reported in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, and several areas near the Strait of Hormuz.
