Muslim World League condemns Israel's rejection of Gaza roadmap

The Muslim World League has strongly condemned Israel's public rejection of the roadmap to complete the implementation of US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which is supported by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, as well as Israel's refusal to establish a Palestinian state.

In a statement from the League's General Secretariat, Secretary-General and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced this rejection, describing it as a continuation of Israel's persistent policies violating international laws and UN resolutions, and undermining all peace efforts.

He stressed the urgent need to compel Israel to fully comply with the obligations outlined in President Trump's comprehensive plan and its associated roadmap, to move forward with the second phase of the plan, and to prevent any party from obstructing its implementation. He also strongly endorsed the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, expressing their firm solidarity with the Palestinian people and unwavering support for their legitimate rights, foremost among them the right to establish an independent, sovereign Palestinian state in line with the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions, as the only path to achieving just and lasting peace in the region.
