Iraqi authorities seize 47 drones and 46 projectiles in abandoned Anbar site

Iraq’s Interior Ministry announced on Friday that it had seized 47 drones and 46 projectiles prepared for use with them, along with remote controls, batteries, and other related equipment, at an abandoned site in the 35th area of Anbar province.

The ministry said that Anbar Police Command units located the site based on precise intelligence information, noting that the location was previously used as a tire repair shop.

During the search operation, authorities found the drones, projectiles, and associated equipment, including remote controls, batteries, and other materials used to operate the drones.

The Interior Ministry stated that the site has been secured and all seized items have been placed under guard, while specialized teams have begun investigative and technical procedures to determine the source of the materials and any connected parties.

The ministry confirmed that all necessary legal measures have been taken in accordance with established regulations.
