Erbil International Airport temporarily suspends flights after attacks

Erbil International Airport Director Ahmed Hoshyar announced on Tuesday the temporary suspension of all flights to and from the airport.

He added that flights were halted due to a wave of attacks targeting Erbil city and its airspace. According to the Iraqi News Agency, flights will resume once the security situation stabilizes and returns to normal.

Earlier, the Counter-Terrorism Service in the Kurdistan Region reported that five explosive-laden drones were shot down in Erbil province.

In a statement, the agency said coalition forces intercepted the drones over Erbil, and no casualties were reported.
