Iran’s Basij chief: Israel will disappear before Khamenei’s predicted date

Hossein Taeb, head of Iran’s Basij force, said that Israel will cease to exist before the date predicted by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as the 80th anniversary of its founding approaches.

Speaking at a meeting of Basij leaders in Tehran, Taeb added that Israelis are nearing the collapse of their state, and asserted that Israel’s demise will come sooner than Khamenei anticipated.

On domestic issues, Taeb accused the United States of seeking to sow discord among Iran’s political factions, urging unity and a focus on confronting both the US and Israel.

Addressing the topic of negotiations, Taeb stressed that Iran should not enter any talks "from a position of weakness or fear," but said that if the other side wishes to negotiate, Tehran should participate "with strength and to secure our rights."

He also discussed the hijab and other cultural matters, emphasizing that such issues should not become factors that undermine national cohesion.
