Egypt has strongly condemned the raid by Israeli forces on the Qalandia Vocational Training Center, operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), in occupied East Jerusalem.

In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move constituted a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and represented a continuation of Israel's unlawful actions against the UN agency and its facilities.

Egypt warned of the dangers posed by Israel's systematic targeting of UNRWA and attempts to undermine or end its operations, which could deprive millions of Palestinian refugees of essential services provided by the agency in Gaza, the West Bank—including East Jerusalem—as well as in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.

Cairo called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and take firm action to halt Israeli violations, protect UNRWA premises and staff, and ensure the agency can continue its mandate in line with United Nations resolutions.
