Lebanese president welcomes Trump decision to lift US air travel restrictions

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun welcomed US President Donald Trump’s decision to revoke executive orders imposing restrictions on air travel between the United States and Lebanon.

Aoun said the move reflects confidence in the measures taken by the Lebanese government to ensure the safety of civil aviation and the security of flights to and from Beirut, according to Asharq.

He emphasized that Lebanon places the highest importance on civil aviation safety and the security of Rafic Hariri International Airport, stressing the country’s commitment to continuing necessary measures in line with international standards to ensure passenger safety and strengthen trust in Lebanon and its institutions.
