Yemeni political analyst Manaa Al-Mutairi said that decisions of war and peace by the Houthi militia are controlled by Iran, while Yemenis have resolved to continue their struggle until their land is liberated.

Speaking to Al-Ikhbariya, he added that the Yemeni armed forces are making significant advances on various fronts, following well-devised plans prepared by the Minister of Defense and coalition leadership. He noted that the Houthis have spent years fortifying their frontlines, but Yemeni forces have managed to breach many of these defenses, whether in the Marib and Al-Jawf fronts or in Taiz province.

He continued that the Houthi advance along the western coast was repelled by the Yemeni armed forces and military formations, including the Al-Watan Brigades and the Giants Brigades. These forces have cut off routes to areas near Bab Al-Mandab in Dhubab district and are now advancing towards Al-Wazi'iyah district, with further progress in the Hayfan front and elsewhere.

He added that in the coming days, military operations are expected to intensify, further weakening the Houthis and disrupting their lines. He pointed out that some Houthi voices are beginning to acknowledge the difficult situation they face and are calling for de-escalation. However, he stressed that decisions on war and peace remain in Iran's hands, as Tehran continues to gamble with the Yemeni file.
