UN Security Council condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, commercial vessels

The UN Security Council has condemned attacks by Houthi militias on Saudi Arabia and commercial vessels.

The council said the Houthi assaults threaten regional security and risk further escalation, reaffirming its commitment to Yemen’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, according to Al Arabiya.

The Security Council also stated that all flights to Yemeni airports must be approved by the Yemeni government, expressed concern over rising tensions in Yemen, and called for restraint to avoid actions that could undermine efforts to secure peace.
