Saudi support vital for Yemen to overcome challenges, cabinet says

Yemen’s cabinet has reaffirmed that support from Saudi Arabia has been, and continues to be, a key factor in strengthening the government’s ability to overcome challenges.

The cabinet also reiterated its commitment to working with regional allies and international partners to extend state authority across all Yemeni territory.

The cabinet added that completing the restoration of state institutions and ending the Houthi coup are fundamental to achieving lasting peace, praising Saudi Arabia’s steadfast political, economic, and humanitarian support.

Prime Minister Dr. Shaea Mohsen Al-Zandani chaired a cabinet meeting in the interim capital, Aden, on Tuesday to address the escalation of terrorist acts by Houthi militias, assess their impact on security, the economy, and humanitarian conditions, and discuss the responsibilities these developments place on state institutions.
