US military says it assisted 1,000 ships through Strait of Hormuz in three months

The US military announced on Wednesday that it has assisted nearly 1,000 ships in passing through the Strait of Hormuz over the past three months, as military operations continue to secure navigation in this vital waterway.

The military confirmed that US forces are maintaining a strict blockade on Iran, noting that as of August 3, US Central Command (CENTCOM) had redirected 44 commercial vessels, disabled two ships, and boarded two others as part of its regional operations.
